On horseback and in their trainers, with the help of Dennis, Bina and Linda . . . .
Design, and particularly websites, do often take a few weeks before they are finally completed and go live and today is one of those days when not one but two ongoing projects have finally come to fruition.
Way back in March, I designed a logo for a client who was just setting out on her ‘Pilates business’ journey.
Already running some classes she had purchased a very simple logo off the internet, but wanted a website.
The DBN / Wild Ideas FREE website offer was absolutely perfect for her, and so working within her budget, and to the minimum £50 spend on design required for the offer . . .
. . . .I expanded and adapted the simple logo she had into something more unique, and personal to her business, and she got a simple sleek and stylish one page website from DBN for FREE.
6 months later, Fiona was ready to take the big leap and increase the amount of classes she was offering, produce a flyer to promote them, plus advertisements for local publications and expand the website.
Another excellent client, positive and full of ideas, quick to respond to questions and great to work with, with her own deadline ( of class start dates)helping her to focus and turn the project round without delay.
As the client and expert of her own business, along with a proper briefing of her ideas, Fiona also supplied lots of written information about her business / classes . . . .
. . . . . and I (in the role of consumer and designer) interpreted that information into something that was understandable to me . . .
. . . . and picked out the poignant important bits that really resonated with me, from a consumer perspective.
. . . and translated these elements, for brand consistency, into a new enhanced 4 page website.
Then once approved by Fiona – it all gets coded up – by DBN – with any final checks and edits before being made live.
Physioflowpilates.co.uk is now live, with this lady’s expertise lying (as the name suggests) in the fact that she has extensive experience as a physiotherapist . . .
. . . making it (as Humira Fatima states):
“single handedly the best class that I’ve ever signed up to. Fiona ensures she provides everyone individual instruction and her background in Physiotherapy is clearly evident making you feel comfortable and safe!”
. . . so it’s not just your average pilates class – as she knows how to properly look after your body as well , and there is also a specific class aimed at cyclists and another for runners . . . .
. . . speaking of which, I got out my old running shoes this week too. (although they were originally only ever used for an aerobics class many moons ago).
Back in the summer I was summoned for my standard ‘middle aged medical’ (my words) with my GP, who asked a lot of questions and deduced that my lifestyle was not exercising my heart enough . . .
. . . and maybe (to make sure my heart stayed healthy) I should consider doing something about it .
I decided that a bit of a run (the long way round) back from school drop off each morning would be a good start . . . . but it turns out I was spotted . . .
. . . by an ex-army mum who has invited me to run with her, and the newly set up Fradley ladies running group (for beginners).
Been out twice with Mrs Army, and done OK, so will see how it goes once we start with the other ladies.
So riding high on positivity this morning, as on another project, the second website has gone live too, selling bespoke bitless bridles for horses . . . . .
. . . to help you and your horse experience the freedom of movement for a much more enjoyable riding experience.
If you are an owner/ rider yourself or you know someone who is, (I used to, even more moons ago) then you should check this site out, and take a look at the handmade products for sale:
Bespoke bridles, head collars, reins, dog leads. . . . . .with ebay sales feedback as good as this:
“what can i say other than AMAZING. I love it. Highly recommended for ANY horse”
. . . with an extra paid upgrade for the additional, simple e-commerce page which allowed Nicki to easily sell her products via paypal with one click of a buy now button . . . .
. . . . £100 design fee for a simple, unfussy, double sided DL flyer, got the premium version of the FREE website offer . . .
. . . with elements of the printed design translating onto the website, again for brand consistency, to create a bespoke page, completely unique to her.
Again, as the expert in her own business, I interpreted her supplied information, into something that made sense to a (less knowledgable) consumer, while wrapping it all up in an attractive format and layout.
Then once approved by Nicki – it all gets coded up – by DBN – with any final checks and edits before being made live.
Watch this space though, Nicki has lots of ideas for more products, so bookmark the noseropes site and keep checking.
