So are you interested in investigating the opportunities for (free) mentoring, support and assistance for your business?
Just yesterday, I had a meeting with a representative from Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce . . . . .
. . . . to introduce me to the availability of business help and development via various schemes that are part of their Growth Hub.
So what has Blackpool got to do with any of that?
Well, the Marketing jumpleads “topic of the month” is about being introspective and making sure that your own business brand is in order before . . . (God forbid)
. . . you rush out randomly and give completely the wrong impression to any potential clients, and do yourself a dis-service.
While we are all focused on working IN our businesses, which is great while there is work to keep us busy . . . .
. . . . we should always keep one eye on the next client, and who they are and how they find us and perceive us.
Blackpool? – yes I am getting to it!
Well its the rock you see (thank you to Julia Roberts, for this ideal analogy), the consistent pattern that runs through the whole stick, and keeps it congruent.
So are your logo, business cards, flyer, website, straplines, headlines, marketing copy, congruent?
Do they look like they all form part of your brand? is it obvious that they all belong together?
And do they ROCK?
With the new year fast approaching, it may be a good time to make sure you are happy with what they say about your business.
As a graphic designer, then I really am the last person who should have an excuse for poor branding, however I am still human and . . .
(while I never have any difficulty getting things sorted for my clients)
. . . . I know how hard it can be. . . . as I have indeed been guilty of letting things get a little untidy.
And particularly my website homepage, which to be perfectly honest is a jungle at the moment, can’t see the wood for the trees. . .
that is now being addressed, as the “new year new ideas” website, is underway. A much cleaner streamlined and fully responsive design, to kickstart me into 2015.
With some great new inspiration and tasks from Marketing Jumpleads buzzing round in my head . . . . . (you can access this too)
The Stoke-on-Trent and Staffs growth hub, I am feeling positive.
Free local support is available to all of you business owners too, and has a huge amount of opportunities
and you do not need to be a chamber member to qualify or attend their events.
The funding for the Growth Hub was secured from the Government’s Regional Growth Fund through Lancaster University, who are leading the creation of 15 new growth hubs across the UK.
You don’t need to struggle, there is help, guidance and advice out there, in many guises.
The Local Enterprise Partnership exists across all regions, so go hunting, ask around . . . .
. . . . contact your local chamber and find your nearest growth hub
Call the business helpline: 0300 111 8002, and just ask.
Join me and get focused too.
Take advantage of the help on offer, and get the support you need to get your marketing/branding on the right track.
Remember the fun you had on those trips to Blackpool in your youth?
Well replicate that enjoyment with your business journey, and make sure Your Business Rocks for 2015.
