Yesterday my youngest son turned 7 . . . . .
And with his big brother just going into year 6 – that’s a lot of parenting years. . . . and trusting in positive thinking has definitely been beneficial.
This morning my kids went back to school . . . . I am trying to go back to work . . . . getting focused today is not as easy as I hoped it would be. . . .
Even writing this blog is a bit of a struggle today. . . . but it’s been a fortnight and I wanted to touch base with you and let you know I am still alive . . . .
After a fun family day at Drayton Manor Park, yesterday, maybe I am just not in the right frame of mind.
. . . but I am trying to focus on positive thinking – yes you can . . . . and I know that many of you will be in a similar situation yourself.
Even if you are not affected by school holidays, you will have hopefully enjoyed a summer break, after which getting motivated again can take an effort. . .
. . so join me and remember your positive thinking . . . . yes you can
I am regularly having to instill self belief and positive thinking in my youngest son, who always seems to think that he can’t . . . .
. . . which is more often than not related to things he doesn’t want to achieve / do . . . .
. . . because following the pictorial instruction on lego sets. . . together with his great amount of desire to achieve . . . means he is very good at building these . . . . (even ones for older kids).
. . . although he likes to have a positive thinking adult nearby to make reassure he is getting it right.
Generally I do try to be optimistic about life and maintain a yes you can positive thinking attitude . . . . . although when motivating my children sometimes a little more is required.
I still use my pocket money charts to instill positive behaviour with both my boys . . . and it seems so do many other parents . . . .
. . . as I have had several orders of my behaviour charts over the summer.
I truly believe that achieving anything starts with deciding on how badly you want it to happen . . . .
. . . and if you are ready to make the possible sacrifices elsewhere . . . and if you are up to the task of facing the necessary hurdles on the way . . . . but
. . . its not about can’t. . .
. .. it’s about positive thinking . . . . what do you need to do so that – yes you can?
chances are the only thing stopping you is you.
And if you still don’t get it then take a look at this
TRUST in Positive New Beginnings
So while thinking about my son . . . a year older . . .and a new school year. . .maybe it’s a good time for some new resolutions?
. . . it’s certainly a good time to reflect on things so far in 2016, and make any adjustments, to make sure that the last third of the year is as successful as I want it to be. . . .
And after a good summer break. . . . and not being too over busy with work, so I was able to spend some time with the boys then I think I am well refreshed enough to get back to it.
. . . but what about you? . . what positive thinking do you need to do so that – yes you can?
. . is it time for a re-think? . . . . .out with the old stuff that doesn’t work . . . in with the new. . . . face head on the jobs / problems / issues you have been avoiding?
Use the start of the 2016 paralympic games tomorrow evening – as a reason for some positive thinking and a new beginning . . . time to focus and believe in yourself.
Whether personal challenges or business ones . . . take the power of positive thinking and achieve better . . . . be your own superhuman and know that you can do it.
KNOW the sense of one positive thing at a time
The only caveat to this I think would be a bit of planning. . . . be realistic and focus on one thing at a time. . . .
. . . and delegate where you can.
. . . achieving a goal does not necessarily mean doing it single handedly. . . . ask for help . . . pay a professional. . .
. . . remember – what positive thinking do you need to do so that – yes you can?
Make a list . . . . coz it feels really good when you can start ticking things off it!
If decorating your spare bedroom is the goal and that involves the services of a painter and decorator, then the achievement is no less the greater. . . .
. . . and in fact the stress can be much less. . . and the quality of the result much more perfect.
If booking a family holiday to celebrate your husbands upcoming 50th birthday involves the services of a travel counsellor (thank you so much Alison) . . .
. . . . the certain relief that everything is in hand because it’s handled by an expert . . . is brilliant.
. . . and if getting organised for your upcoming business exhibition means trusting the design of your exhibition panels to Wild Ideas . . .
. . . then that is one less thing YOU need to stress over . . .
. . . . . . because creating a perfect set of exhibition panels with your branding style is on MY business list to design for you (thank you to a different Alison).
BELIEVE in the power of Positive Thinking
The actual process of thinking about the message I wanted to portray (and making sure it all makes sense when I read it back) has been really helpful for my own motivation today.
The power of positive thinking is really working.
I feel calmer. . . more organised and ready to get back to work on some ongoing projects and some new ones.
I hope when my son comes home from school today, his new teacher has inspired him with some positivity to achieve and grow and learn and get better . . . .
. . . and I hope that when you next need some creative input on your marketing collateral your positive thinking will point you in the Wild Ideas direction. . .
I hope that you will . . . .
TRUST that I can – create what you need
KNOW that I will – be inspired to exceed
BELIEVE that I do – it just for you.
