As a woman it’s kind of nice to think that there is an international women’s day to recognise how special we women are, however . . . . .
. . . . considering the fact that this just leaves men as our opposite . . . . it’s also kind of a shame that there was any necessity to create an international women’s day at all.
International women’s day has been around for 107 years. . . . as a way to highlight the plight of women . . . and focus campaigns to improve the quality of life and equality of women in society.
The fact that women are STILL not equal across a male dominated society it shameful.
. . . . that they have to have an international women’s day to try and promote their achievements / expose their plights and fight for their right (to party)
If men were not so sexist and had not looked down on “the little woman” as being insignificant . . . . or incompetent . . .
. . . . as a creature they could mis-treat . . . ignore . . . patronise . . .(add your own male prejudiced experience here).
. . . . Maybe there would be no need for an international women’s day. . . . but then . . .
