QUESTION – What do your potential customers think of your business?
. . . do they consider you an elite brand?

When you start a new business you want to get it right . . . its your baby . . your project . . .maybe even your livelihood!
You need a name, a logo, some business cards, maybe some flyers. . . and a responsive website (desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile friendly) oh yeah somewhere people can look you up online . . .
. . . and you’ll need social media pages too . . .
but what you might not realise, is that you need all these things to belong together . . . so the most important thing you need to establish for your new business is your brand . . .
. . . a set of colours, fonts, shapes, patterns that work together with your logo, that are flexible and can be repeated in the same but different way . . .
. . . everywhere that potential customers have visual contact with your new business. . .
. . . a quality professional design identity followed by repetition is the first building block towards success.

Brand confidence background
We all love a good brand . . . you know that special feeling of brand confidence which wearing those Ugg boots, or toting your new iphone gives you . . .
I think it’s kind of brainwashed into our souls from childhood . . . starting from being teased at school by a “lack” of a brand . . . (in my schooldays it was trainers) . . .
. . . more recently my son got teased about not having the current Xbox console . . . and then ironically again for having the “very latest” Xbox console.
Any well-known brand oozes confidence, has perceived status and people want to be a part of it . . . so what are you going to do to get your new business on the brand confidence path?
So how do you start rebranding if you’ve never really had a proper brand?
maybe you have a shop on the high street that’s been there for 40 years – with one brand name design . . .
. . . and then there is your website that’s been there for almost 20 – with another brand name design.
. . . so because the shop brand name design is different from the website domain brand name design. . . you look like two separate businesses. . .
. . . everything’s a bit disjointed and you need to try and pull it all together.

The latest logo design development has literally just been completed this morning with me submitting the set of final print and web ready PDF JPG and PNG files to the client (who I shall call K). . .
. . . and he really took the time to work with me and get exactly what he wanted. . .
The reason people tend to use an initialism or acronym for their business name is because they think too much about what their business means to them and less about how it will be perceived by their potential customers. . . .
. . . or possibly because they think too less about appreciating the importance of the right business name and using an initialism or acronym is a quick fix.
. . . . but most businesses have very little understanding of marketing . . . because their business is about anything other than marketing.
